Translating new branding and identity, into a modern WordPress website

Luma is a not-for-profit organisation in Perth, WA, that offers women’s health and support services across all stages of life.

About

Their new website is a project that we absolutely loved contributing to, and recently it received nominations in three separate categories at the 2024 Australian Web Awards for the following –

  • Not For Profit
  • Community & Culture
  • WordPress

Our work with Luma was more than just a project – it was a shared mission by our team to amplify the work that they do.

The brief

  • “Women’s Health and Family Services” had been working with Wunderman Thompson on creating a new name and and brand identity as Luma.
  • They needed to take that work and refresh and modernise their website, while adding key new features around courses and resources.
  • Key wins for the project would include improved site performance, optimised SEO, and additional features for Accessibility making it usable for even more of their target audience.

The solution

  • A new WordPress instance that integrated with LearnDash, allowing them to provide Online Courses that went above and beyond PDFs/emails.
  • Optimising their Donation function through Gravity Forms and Stripe, which reduced barriers to giving and allowed users to decide if it was a one off or a monthly commitment.
  • The introduction of a Health & Wellbeing Hub which helped pull together key information for the different services Luma provides, in a clean and easy to navigate manner.
