What did we do for Kings Park Volunteer Guides?
Dux Digital and the team at Kings Park Volunteer Guides worked together to produce a website that not only showcased the beauty of Kings Park here in WA but also the dedication and knowledge that each of their volunteers possesses, to help tourists and locals alike, get the best out of their Kings Park experience.
Branding
Created a brand from scratch and a variety of unique hand drawn graphics to elevate the design.
Photography
They've some incredibly talented photographers in their team, and we wanted to showcase that amazing work.
WordPress
Ensured that their team of volunteers, were given a simple to use but highly flexible WordPress instance.
What was the initial brief from Kings Park Volunteer Guides?
Three core project goals came through clear in the brief -
- Help this independent not-for-profit group have a digital presence providing visibility of their services outside of the information booth and a large sign in the middle of the park.
- Introduce a Guide specific function that allows the team to manage volunteers, collateral, photography and services.
- Deliver a website that was using a limited budget but could help transform how they operate as a group.
What are some project outcome highlights?
Project highlights include -
- Created a WordPress website that provided a full summary of all the tours available and supplemented that with key information about Kings Park specific facilities, getting to and from, and showcasing stunning photography which had been produced by their team.
- Build a gated Resource Hub that allows the volunteers to pass key information back and forth between the team, so that everyone has access to documentation and resources.
- Providing them with content blocks that give the website an organic feel – imagery can evolve and change throughout the year to follow the Nyoongar calendar and highlight what is in season around the park.
Testimonial - Clare Lardner
Thanks again for all the work you and the team have done. The Guides were very appreciative of the hundreds of hours put in by us as volunteers and yourselves with the design and delivery.
Testimonial - Barry Marelli
To help get into the spirit of the project, the team took a walking tour and everyone came away with some practical information about the park, flora and fauna that was delivered in a fun and engaging way. That experience gave us great insights into how best to build this wonderful website.
