Richmind WA (formerly Richmond Wellbeing) has been a pioneer in the West Australian mental health sector since its founding over 50 years ago.

Ushering in a new era for WA’s largest mental health provider

Through the decades the organisation has evolved to reflect the needs of the community it serves; from the original advocation of community-based mental health services, to the introduction of the National Disability Insurance Scheme in 2013, to recent investment in LGBTIQ+ workplace inclusivity training.

Reaching its 50th-year Richmind WA wanted to honour that evolution with a name, brand and website that reflects not only who the organisation is now but where it intends to go in the future.

The brief

  • To create an accessible, secure, and high-performance website aligning with WCAG standards and providing an excellent user experience for all visitors.
  • To enhance site interactivity through the use of online forms, navigational aids, and engagement tools.
  • To implement new branding and organisation identity through out the site.

The solution

  • A custom-built WordPress website designed to enhance user experience and streamline content management. The site leveraged Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) to provide flexible and structured content entry, allowing for greater customisation and control.
  • A comprehensive overhaul of Richmind WA’s online presence, featuring a complete redesign of its website to align with its updated branding and visual identity. The new design incorporated fresh typography, colour schemes, and imagery, ensuring consistency across all content blocks and widgets. Enhanced user experience (UX) and modernized navigation improved accessibility and engagement, while the integration of responsive design elements ensured seamless functionality across all devices.
  • With a flexible architecture and modular design, additional services and locations can be integrated seamlessly without the need for extensive redevelopment. The intuitive (CMS) ensures that updates can be made quickly and efficiently, empowering Richmind WA to to manage its expanding digital presence with ease while maintaining a consistent user experience.
